Waterbuck

Waterbuck

Description

Waterbuck are found in a mixture of grassland and woodland. Waterbuck are one of the larger antelope species and they are generally never far from a waterhole. Normally found in small herds of about 12 animals, this rather large antelope is, for the most part, a grazer.

Waterbuck bulls and cows don’t differ in appearance except, while the cows don’t carry horns, the bulls do. The Waterbuck's trademark is the big white ring around their rump.

Hunting Information

When hunting waterbuck, it is suitable to use 270-.30 caliber rifles.
