Description

The Bushpig stands between 66-110 centimetres in height and can weigh up to 110 kilograms (331lbs). Bushpig are found in very thick brush and are omnivores.

Bushpig sows and boars do not vary in colour but the boars have a bigger head and have two big knobs between their eyes and nose.

Bushpig have a gestation period of 120-127 days and can have as many as 10 piglets at a time.

Hunting Information

Hunting Bushpig can be very challenging due to the very thick brush they live in and it’s best done at night in open fields when they feed on bulbs.

Suitable calibers for hunting Bushpig include shotguns and 30 caliber rifles.
